Our People.
Corrina Mckinnel
Founder/Director
Corrina is our Founder & Managing Director. She has grown the company's
success from her 17 years of experience in the UK and Australia.
Beginning in 2008, Corrina swiftly rose through the ranks, became an
Associate Director in 2016, and found her expertise in strategic growth and
recruitment delivery while leading high-performing teams and mentoring
trainees. Her genuine passion for the sector, a talent for rising to challenges,
and a gift for building solid and respectful relationships in a tough
industry underpins Mckinnel Associates consistent excellence.​
Corrina's biggest lesson since starting Mckinnel Associates has been to delegate
unfamiliar tasks early to spend time and energy focusing on the tasks of her natural ability.
She believes that her success to date is due to her ability to develop sustainable, solid relationships
and being attentive and inquisitive to her clients' and candidates' needs. Corrina is proud of how
her team genuinely supports and encourages each other, celebrates each other's
successes, and works collaboratively towards their goals.
Originally from Bolton, UK, in 2017 Corrina brought herself (and her northern accent!) to Australian shores to
start an exciting new life, full of out outdoor adventures and successful business ventures!
Martin brings over 30 years of global recruitment experience to
McKinnel Associates, having worked with agencies and executive teams
in more than 20 countries.

As a trusted advisor and Non-Executive Director, he partners with us to strengthen
our strategy, scale our impact, and stay aligned to our long-term vision.
​
He’s a well-known figure in the international recruitment community and brings a
unique, big-picture perspective that’s both commercial and grounded in real-world
experience.

When he’s not overseas working with recruitment leaders across the globe, Martin is
based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, enjoying life with his family.

Anna Drillsma
Recruitment Consultant
Meet Anna, one of our Recruitment Consultants. Anna is inspired by
connecting both clients and candidates with their perfect
match, and brings honesty and transparency to her work.
Her relationship-building skills and dedication to delivering results have won
her accolades over the years, including winning an award for invoicing the
most new clients while running a temp desk in London (many moons ago!).

At the heart of Anna's approach is a dedication to communication, honesty, and
integrity - the qualities she believes are essential for success in the recruitment industry.
She strives to embody these qualities in her work, building lasting relationships with clients and candidates alike.
If there's one change she could make in the industry, it's would be for good recruiters to always recognised for the value they add.

What sets Anna apart is her commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest trends and changes in the building and insurance recruitment industry. She keeps a finger on the pulse by regularly speaking with clients and candidates, attending industry events, and keeping an eye on the news.

Anna's professional experience is matched by her personal life, as she balances her career with being a devoted mother to her son Seb. She admires strong, independent women who juggle motherhood and careers, as that's something she can relate to. When she's not spending quality time with Seb, Anna enjoys cooking up a storm in the kitchen and dreaming of a trip to Greece!
​Claire is a highly experienced recruitment consultant with 15 years in the
industry. Having worked across different sectors, she thrives in fast-paced
environments where no two days are the same. She enjoys the challenge
of connecting with people from all backgrounds and skill levels, building
strong, long-term relationships, and being recognised as a specialist in
her field.
Before recruitment, Claire’s career took her from Investment Banking in London
to working in the fitness industry as a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor.
She returned to recruitment in 2023, bringing a fresh perspective and renewed
passion for the profession.
Claire is a strong advocate for integrity in recruitment and believes in open and honest communication. She keeps up with market changes through active networking on LinkedIn and meaningful conversations with clients and candidates.
Outside of work, Claire has a love for horses and teaches Reformer Pilates. She’s passionate about animal welfare and lives by the motto: "Perseverance pays off." If she weren’t here, you’d probably find her traveling through Southeast Asia, embracing new experiences and cultures.

Ashleigh Ruttledge
Operations manager
Meet Ashleigh, Mckinnel Associates Operations Manager.
Bringing a decade of experience in recruitment combined with over 8 years
in Business Management, Ashleigh is an essential element to the growth and
success of Mckinnel Associates. ​
As a dedicated professional with a love for problem solving, Ashleigh oversees many
aspects of the company with a balanced blend of patience and proactivity.
Her career journey began in hairdressing, where she discovered a natural inclination
towards salon management and team development. In a recent role, Ashleigh earned
recognition as Employee of the Year, highlighting her significant contributions to the company.​
While efficient, adaptable, and well organised, Ashleigh's true success in her role is creating trust within
her team through transparent communication, recognition, and genuine appreciation of her peers. ​
Outside of operations management, Ashleigh loves to take on a DIY project and is very handy with a
hammer and drill! Her favourite build to date has been creating a busy board for her little girl.
With her pragmatic approach and dedication to her role, Ashleigh’s personal motto, "Tomorrow is a new day," encapsulates her commitment to continual improvement, both personally and professionally.
